Christian Worship Center is glad to serve community by providing parking spaces to Downers Grove South Students during school hours. There is a limited amount of spaces available and parking is provided on first come, first serve basis. There is a parking fee charged for parking lot maintenance and snow removal. CWC PARKING RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Building For Sale.

Please be advised that our church property is currently for sale. In the unlikely case of new ownership deciding to cancel the parking, a refund will be provided on a pro rata basis.

  1. General Terms

Christian Worship Center (CWC) located at 1330 63rd Street, Downers Grove, IL 60516 with a request of the School District and approved Special Use Permit by the Village of Downers Grove is renting parking spaces for students of Downers Grove South High School on a yearly basis. Parking spaces are rented out on a first-come, first-serve basis, with a limited number of spots available. By submitting a payment for parking you confirm that both you, Student and Student’s parent or legal guardian have read and ACCEPTED these Terms and Conditions. This contract will be considered executed after the parking fee is processed.

  1. Contract Time

This contract is valid for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year. It takes effect on the first day of payment and is terminated on the last day of exams in the spring of 2024. Parking times are Monday through Friday 6:00 am until 5:00 pm. All cars have to leave the lot before 5:00 p.m., with the exception of the students who have to stay later because of their involvement in after-school activities (athletics, clubs, etc.). No parking is allowed during evening school games. No parking allowed on weekends. CWC reserves the right to cancel the contract in the event of sale of the property, building maintenance, or other circumstances that would make student parking impossible. In such an event, the parking will be refunded on a prorated basis.

  1. Assigned Spots

After processing your payment you will be assigned a specific numbered parking spot. Because all of the parking spots are leased by students, you are only allowed to park in your assigned spot. If you will park in a spot that is leased by someone else, you are in violation of this agreement and your car will be subject to being towed and you will be responsible for all fees for retrieving it. Your car make/model and license plate number must match the information you have provided. Should you find that another car is illegally parked in the spot assigned to you, the student should temporarily park in the space marked as “Reserved for Pastor” and immediately notify CWC parking management via text, phone or email. No sharing, or switching of assigned parking spots is allowed. Your parking spot is non-transferable. If for any reason, during the times of this agreement being in effect, you are no longer attending Downers Grove South High School, you must notify CWC Parking Management immediately. It is illegal to park on the lawn, on the handicapped spot, sidewalks and/or driveway. Cars found parked there are subject to parking tickets issued by police and being towed at the owner’s expense.   1. Parking Permit

After receiving your payment, you will be assigned a parking spot. This parking Permit is non-transferable. Any attempt by the student to transfer, sublease or resell this parking permit will void this Rental Agreement which will result in termination of your parking privileges at CWC Parking lot with no refund issued. Vehicles with illegally transferred parking permits will be treated as violators and towed away at owner’s expense.

  1. Parking Fee

Suggested donation for a single parking spot for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year is $550 and must be paid upon execution of this contract. Should your payment for any reason be cancelled during the term of this contract, this contract will be immediately cancelled, and your parking privileges will be immediately suspended and your parking space may be rented to another student.

  1. Code of Conduct

Students must treat CWC property with care and respect. Absolutely no drinking or smoking allowed at this property at any time. All illegal activities will be reported to the local police. NO loitering or reckless driving (tire spins, speeding, etc.). Your parking permit will be revoked if you are found loitering, smoking, consuming alcohol or engaging in any illegal activity. If you notice any illegal or inappropriate activity happening at the CWC parking lot, you are advised to report it to CWC Parking Management and local Police Department by calling 911.

  1. Pedestrian Safety

The safety of students is of utmost importance. We strongly advise students to make their way to the sidewalk on the north side of 63rd street and take the sidewalk to the Dunham / 63rd intersection. Cross only on the traffic light. Under no circumstances are students allowed to jaywalk on 63rd or Dunham. Please note there is no paved sidewalk on the church property along Dunham Road.

  1. Release of Liability

By submitting a payment for student parking and using our parking lot you are releasing Christian Worship Center of any liability and agree to hold CWC its subsidiaries and its officers harmless in case of incidents, accidents, injuries or death incurred while getting to or from or by using this parking lot. CWC assumes no responsibility for any damage to person or property arising out of this rental. Articles left in vehicles are at the vehicle owner’s risk. Renter understands and expressly agrees that the CWC is not responsible for loss or damage to any vehicle or its contents by fire, vandalism, theft or any other cause, nor for loss, damage or injury by or to other renters or any other individual personal injury of any nature. Tenant expressly acknowledges that the CWC shall have no duty to provide security, and expressly does not assume any obligation to provide for the security of the parking area or to protect individuals using the parking area, or vehicles or property in the parking area, from criminal activities. Tenant also agrees that all damages, including damages resulting to CWC facility, parking lot, landscaping, fencing, lawn and light posts throughout CWC lot will be the responsibility of the renter. Students are advised to always lock their cars and hide all their valuables. All students must have valid insurance for their vehicle. In case any provision in this Parking Rental Agreement shall be held invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the validity, legality and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not in any way be affected or impaired thereby.
