Welcome Home!

Welcome to Christian Worship Center!

Whether you are visiting or looking for a church home in the area, we can’t wait to meet you. We want you to feel right at home. We warmly invite you to join us for worship, experience God’s presence, and meet new friends. Please stick around for coffee and fellowship after each service.

Below are some answers to frequently asked questions about our church.

Each weekend at CWC Church you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with inspiring contemporary worship music and a practical, relevant message. Children are well-cared for in a loving, quality Nursery that includes a fun-filled CWC Kids service.

If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up or ask you to give money.  We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for a while—and that’s fine with us!  Come in, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, and see if this is the church family for you.

Our dress code is fairly casual. We believe it matters less how people look than the kind of person they become in Jesus Christ. So, join us in what makes you comfortable!

We are located at 1330 63rd Street, Downers Grove, IL. We are diagonally across from Downers Grove South High School and just a few minutes east of I-355.

We currently meet for Sunday Worship Services at 9:00 am, 10:15 am, and 11:30 am. We also offer a midweek service every Wednesday at 7:00 pm.

We have a dynamic midweek service on Wednesdays at 7:00 pm. You can expect vibrant, spirit-filled worship, a timely message from the Bible, and ample time for prayer and personal ministry.

At CWC Church your children are a top priority.  We offer a lively children’s ministry, as well as a life-changing ministry for students from junior high through college. Our Sunday school for kids age 2-12 are offered during all of our services.

We also provide a comfortable nursery room for parents with babies with a live stream of the service.

Our youth service is every Friday at 7:00 pm for middle and high school students.

There are many ways to get involved.  You can begin by attending our Next Steps class. A type of “meet and greet” class where a pastor of our church goes through our history, our beliefs and values, and ways for people to get involved in serving. The Next Steps class occurs once a month.

Yes, we do. Our small groups are called Connect Groups. They are an important part of our church family- in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced our Connect Groups. Connect Groups provide a close-knit family space to connect with others, share life, and grow in faith together. Find a group to visit in our directory on the Connect Groups page.
