Peter Kutcher

Lead Pastor

Pastor Peter and his wife Alla were both born in Ukraine. They have been serving in ministry for over 25 years. God placed Chicagoland on Peter’s heart for ministry so he and his wife planted Christian Worship Center in April of 2005. His passion is to know Christ and make Him known to others.

 

They have been married since 2005 and are blessed with two wonderful daughters. He is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys biking or going for a walk with his wife and daughters.

Walter Nobles

Executive Pastor

Walter Nobles serves as the Executive Pastor at CWC. A devoted follower of Jesus, his deep walk with the Lord continues to shape his life, leadership, and ministry. With decades of global executive experience and many years of humble service in the local church, Walter brings strategic insight, spiritual maturity, and a heart to equip people. He and his wife, Patricia, have been married since 1991 and are grateful parents of two daughters and two sons.

 

Walter enjoys distance running as an avid marathoner, traveling and spending time with his family.

Michael Okleme​

Pastor - Discipleship

With several years of ministry experience in Ghana, Pastor Michael, and his wife Lydia bring a unique passion for the pursuit of God to our church. He loves to help people grow in their relationship with Christ and to become committed followers of His.
 
They have been married since 2005 and are blessed with a son and a daughter. He enjoys having fun with family and friends and watching a good investigative documentary.

Franklin Ankomah

Pastor - Prayer & Prophetic Ministry

Pastor Franklin and his wife Francisca served in ministry for several years in Ghana. They are both passionate intercessors, and their life examples and testimonies prove absolute trust in God’s faithfulness. He loves to lead people into a growing relationship with the Lord, especially helping them build strong prayer lives and grow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

 

Pastor Franklin and Francisca have been married since 2005 and are blessed with a son and a daughter with whom he loves to bike, play soccer, and play other games in his free time.

Paul Kucher

Pastor - Missions

Pastor Paul and his wife Luda have been serving in ministry for a number of years. They are passionate about reaching the lost with the gospel of Jesus. Pastor Paul serves as our church’s mission pastor. He passionately leads missionary work from our church to various parts of the world, including Mexico, Cuba, and Ukraine. Pastor Paul and Luda have been married since 2000 and are blessed with two sons and two daughters.
 
He enjoys fishing, beekeeping, and drinking good coffee.

Iliya and Inna Petrow

Pastors - Kids Ministry

Iliya and Inna lead our Kids Ministry. Iliya has been part of the CWC family since its beginning, while Inna moved to Chicago from Spokane before the two of them married and began serving together. They’ve been married since 2019 and are blessed with two daughters and a son.

 

Together, they enjoy traveling, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.

Miriam Kucher

Leader - CWC Youth

Miriam has been part of CWC her whole life and now leads our Youth Ministry with a heart for the next generation. Her passion began in middle school when she experienced God’s grace and discovered His call on her life. Today, Miriam loves helping students encounter Jesus and mentoring them to grow as leaders, impact their homes, schools, communities, and future careers, and shine God’s light wherever they go. 
 
She enjoys spending time with friends and family, and tending to her collection of plants that brighten her room.

Joshua Nwonye​

Leader - Music

Joshua leads the worship ministry at CWC and has been part of our church since his Sunday School days when he was 5 years old. He is passionate about creating an environment where people can experience the presence of God and be transformed by Him. Joshua’s heart’s desire is to see people grow in their faith and passion for the Lord.

 

Outside of church, you might find Joshua going for a run or skating with his friends. He is also a big fan of Christian Rap.

Patricia Nobles

Women’s Minister

Patricia Nobles serves as the Women’s Minister at CWC. She encountered God’s love in a profound way when He stirred in her a desire to know Him more, and she now delights in helping women grow in their walk with Christ. Patricia finds joy in serving wherever the Lord leads and in sharing His love with gentleness and grace. She and her husband, Walter, have been married since 1991 and are grateful parents of two daughters and two sons.

 

She enjoys long walks in nature, worship music, singing, spending time with family, swimming, traveling, and connecting with friends around the world.

Sarah Gonzalez​

Ministry Chaplain

Sarah is a Chaplain at Cook County Jail, where she longs to see Jesus magnified, especially among the incarcerated. She and her mother, Marjean, have served in prison ministry for several years, leading weekly Bible studies, worship, and discipleship, praying that the incarcerated would be born again, equipped, and sent as vessels of reconciliation to their families and the city. Her desire is to see lives returned to the Lord, transformed by His Spirit.

 

She is also committed to equipping the Church to minister to the incarcerated, believing that the Body of Christ is called to remember those in prison (Hebrews 13:3) and to partner in their restoration.

 

Sarah finds joy in Spirit-led creative arts, banana milk lattes, exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods and lakefront, and discovering unique coffee shops with diverse flavors.
